Bloody Tuesday

This week and probely some of next week aswell I'm building a workshop for a friend in Stratford upon Avon .
But the job did not start great . Due to being flat out all weekend and raising a frame on Mon , plus percentage eve ment that I didn't have time to get anything sorted.
As a result I didn't get to site till lunchtime as a puncture on the trailor, braking a window, piercing a gas canister in the car and trying to load everything in the dark and pissing rain seemed to delay my plans a bit.
But I'm getting there despite the fact that it's raining so hard that Noa has parked his Ark at the end of the street.

The next job is tieing it into the house. Then roofing , cleaning , and building the walls around it.
Oh also there is a glazed screen and door frame to build .
More progress soon
I'm im Stratford tomorrow building a workshop. It probely be about 3 weeks till there is any more to show on this build. As the client/builder is buisy ( Liam Carnell restorations ) doing something else for a while.

BAD CARPENTRY

Yesterday I went to see some people that had an oak framed room on their open planned house.
The extension was built 10 years ago by somebody ( I didn't recognise the name and I wouldn't write it even if I did that is also the reson that I didn't post a picture ).
I was called as the clients have a leak and I'm not supprised .
The oak frame building was not built to the standards I have seen EVER.
The biggest issue that I have is that the clients and their friends now believe that oak framed buildings are cold drafty places .
THIS IS NOT TRUE but unfortunately they have had a bad experience created by somebody that has done a bad job.
I hope to change their view.
